watching the UCF game over the thought of their beloved Bugeaters going 13-0 with Jack Frost as their new coach?

UCF is impressive. Frost is a good coach.

That said, UCF...is in Florida. And their qb is a difference maker.

He'll improve nebby, not nearly to what they expect.

The Nebraska fans will expect and settle for no less than 10 wins, at least, per year. It's Lincoln, NE. It will not happen on an annual basis for them no matter who their coach is.

What I noticed were the targeting, blocking in the back, and other borderline penalties Frost must have obviously coached because there were so many of them. That’s what he’s bringing to Nebraska. B1G refs take note.

Look, I'm not saying Nebraska is Standford in terms of letting kids in there, but Frost is likely going to have to deal with some level of academic standards that are likely inapplicable at UCF. He's done what Boise did - built a sick team with kids who didn't qualify at the powerhouse schools. That is going to be very hard to do at Nebraska - you could do it with gangbangers from Compton in the '90's because there was no social media and Big Tom could say "nah, he's a good boy, just misunderstood" but that dog ain't gonna hunt no more.

Not sure your premise holds up based on this: https://admissions.ucf.edu/apply/freshman/

First let's see him bring these kind of guys to the big ten. Second, lets see him keep them academically eligible. Not that nebraska has high standards in education, but it's a lot tougher than UCF

Forget the academic stuff it is just a much harder to get kids to come North. Why go to Nebraska when you can get the same thing at Central Florida and be right around the corner from mom's home cooking. Think about it, Butch Davis is coaching at Florida International, a guy with all his credentials has the "shit" job in Florida.

That's the general student body. Pretty much every decent public school in a large population state has seen their general admission standards rise because kids are doing away with private schools unless they are elite. But those standards do not apply to athletes. Those kids who read at a 3rd grade level that Florida State can't push through have to go somewhere and I think maybe we found where that somewhere is.

Look, at the end of the day, if Frost wants to get cute and try calling a game like he did yesterday in Madison or Minneapolis in late October or November, the guy is gonna lose a helluva lot of games 'cause he ain't gonna have the horses and the weather dictates half of your gameplan in the Big Ten.

I don't know what kind of offense Jack Frost runs but I'm guessing it's a spread, RPO, running QB type stuff. If it is I'm sure everybody in the B1G is terrified because nobody has ever done that before.

He was the offensive coordinator at Oregon under Chip Kelly. He was there with Marcus Mariotta. It will be a different offense than everyone is used to.
