We all the know DJK could get the records for all time catches and yards this season, (impressive) but how many games has he started throughout his career?

Starting at wide receiver at Iowa is overrated. You can get just as many catches coming off the bench.
25 career starts for DJK
I'm not sure about that. The starters get the vast majority of catches. McNutt and DJK seem like an exception to me. At least in the last 10 years, starters dominated the stat sheet at receiver. Kasper, Mo Brown and C.J., Hinkel and Solomon all had a ton of catches, much more than the reserves. Yes our bench guys get catches, but McNutt and DJK are the only ones I can remember who came off the bench alot and led the team.
Yeah, kinda funky that Ed Hinkel started every game as a RS FR whereas Mo Brown was a JR and didn't start a game. I wonder if they did it as motivation ... much like they've used the starting spot as a motivating point for DJK. Of course, Brown's production was veritably nonexistent as a RS FR and SO. It could be like a lot of Hawkeye players that he simply had to develop into the spot. You are proving yourself wrong by including Mo Brown in that group. Brown led the 2002 team in TD catches (10) and yards per catch and never started a game that season.
