How long before Andy Reid is given his walking papers?

Re: How long before Andy Reed is given his walking papers?

Good question. It will pry be done at the end of the year. I think he has earned the right to finish out the season. But he is certainly a dead man walking.

He has led the Eagles to the most sustained success that they've ever had. To fire him would be a stupid move, IMO, and this is coming from a longtime Eagles fan. And I think the Eagles owner is smart enough to know that. There must be a change at defensive coordinator though. I don't know what in the hell they were thinking there. You let your former offensive line coach take over the reins of the defense? Really!?

When you take into account the above mentioned factor of there being a ****** D coordinator, and with many new guys joining the team during a lockout year that diminished their time to gel together as a team, then that's what you get. Especially when you don't address your glaring off-season needs on the OL and at LB.

Just a real disappointing season, to say the least. I knew they would have some issues, but not to the point of being capable of losing to the freaking Cardinals or Seahawks. Dream Team my ***.

I do not think the Eagles have much choice but to go a different direction. Reid has not just lost football games he has lost his players and when that happens you have to look a different direction.

Having said that Reid is still a great coach and will have no problem landing another job.

What exactly makes you say these things? Yes, his players keep making very stupid fundamental mistakes, but I don't think he has "lost" his players. From what I've heard and read, it's sounds like most of the players still love him and they've stated that they're the ones not making the plays; most of them have taken accountability. That being said, I think he sometimes tries too much to be their buddy instead of their coach, but he can't make tackles for them, set the edge and contain, and he can't catch touchdown passes for Desean or anybody else for that matter.

The issue is NOT the head coach. They put too many "all stars" on one team and not enough role players. Sooner or later someone will get sick of not being in the spotlight and claim they need more money...DeSean Jackson. They need to get this guys off the field ASAP. McCoy is putting up some crazy numbers and it's all going to waste because they are not a TEAM.

Exactly. The main problem is that all of these new free agents didn't have a lot of time to gel together as a team due to the holdout. AND the fact that they pretty much did nothing in the off-season to address their glaring needs on the OL and at LB. And yes, Desean needs to go, his attitude is detrimental.

My prediction is that Andy Reid will still be the head coach, but that there will definitely be a new defensive coordinator.

Did you watch the game last night? I seen a lot of quit over on the sidelines and the players spatting with each other was obvious. They kept showing how DeSean Jackson could not even look his QB in the eye when he was talking to him.

I don't think the Eagles have any other choice but to go a different direction.

Wouldn't they more accurately be described as "waddling papers", in Big Andy's case?
