How down is the B1G this year?

Conference strength of schedule:

College Football Power Ratings - College FB SOS Power Rtg Conference Ratings on TeamRankings.com

10th out of all FBS conferences through week 4.

W/L against individual conferences not exactly what you would call "impressive" thus far.

Iowa has had the strongest OOC schedule statistically in the conference and is 3-1.

Big Ten Out of Conference play

SEC - 0-1
ACC - 1-2

Big XII - 0-1
Big East - 1-0
Pac 12 - 4-1
Sun Belt - 5-1
Conference USA - 0-1
MAC - 10-1
MWC - 2-0
FCS - 8-1
WAC - 2-1
Independent (ND/Army) - 1-2

Quality Wins: ND (MI),

Notable Losses: Ball St (IU), New Mex St (MN), Rice (Purdue), Army (NW), Miami (tOSU), NDST (MN), N. Texas (IU)

obviously IU and MN bringing everybody down, but tOSU lost to a mediocre Miami team, PSU didnt stand a chance against one of the best the SEC has to offer, Iowa lost to ISU in "the superbowl", Nebbie and Wisky have played literally no one yet, so their 0 combines losses is a bit inflated. conference looks to be wide open at this point. definitely makes you feel that if Iowa can keep playing well that they have a legit shot at winning the conference.

so down that Iowa loses to the clowns and iowa can still take the legends 'crown'.

That, my friend, is down.

but, like clownie fan loves to say - if they were in the big 10, they'd be rose bowling on a regular basis.

maybe clone21, but most rational ISU fans dont believe that.

I think Wisconsin has the ability to be and elite team, they just havent played anyone at all yet. will be interesting to see how things pan out once big ten play starts.

is there a specific "legends" trophy? serious question?
