How do you guys feel about padding the stats?

At the end of the Nebraska game I was hoping we could pad the stats of the backups instead of trying to avoid the end zone, like we too often do.

It would've helped Brian's stats and given the 2nd teamers something to celebrate.
Doesn't make sense not to do it.

You can never score too much against Nebby. If we'd have scored 200 points, I'd have been pissed we didn't score 250. Pad the friggin' stats. It's not 4th grade flag football. Keep playing. If they don't want you scoring 70, then stop sucking and tackle someone. Bunch of Big Red pussies.

I don't think you should ever change playcalling based on how much you're ahead. You should only change personnel.

I agree. When the game is no longer in doubt, put the backups in and feel free to run whatever offense and defense you would normally run. It's a great chance to get those guys experience running the stuff that you're going to be asking them to run in the future in a game setting. Putting in the backups and going vanilla is wasting an opportunity to make your team better.

Meh, the games over, just run out the clock and go home. The team accomplished its main goal of winning the game.

And if a coach tells a backup anything other than "when you get your mop up time I want you to play like you are the starter" said coach should find his a$$ in the unemployment line.
