How do we respond after the OSU game?

With Michigan state next in Lansing up next. A team we split games with last year. What's everyone's thoughts on how Iowa responds. We usually play MSU pretty well. I believe Fran will have these guys ready to go.

The big thing from yesterday was that OSU dictated the tempo. They forced a half-court game, and with their athleticism that's deadly for a team like us. OSU was just way too quick for us.

Against teams like that, we HAVE to get the running game going.

we`re not the best transition team yet but getting there.

Big loss, MSU is much better than they were last season and their frontline is the difference. Iowa lost by 20 there last year.

as fans we move on and flush the loss to OSU
just like Iowa made Wisky and Iowa play their game
OSU made Iowa play theirs
at this stage Iowa has to force the tempo, they didn't and were forced to rush their shots just as Wisky and Minny did
i am not bothered by the OSU loss, but i am glad we face them just once this season and won't see them again unless we face them in the BT tourney

We're winning out.

I know you're kidding, but I can still see a solid record. Of our 14 remaining games, 6 are against Northwestern, Penn State, and Nebraska. Then we have Purdue on the road and Wisconsin and Minnesota at home (all winnable if we play they way we were leading into yesterday's game).

I don't expect to win them all, but if we managed 6-3 and scored an upset of MSU, Michigan, Indiana, or Illinois, we'd be sitting at 17-14.

My mega optimist self says we can win all 6 games vs NW, Penn State and Nebraska, we also will beat Wisconsin and Minnesota and take down Illinois in Campaign. Giving us 9 more wins. 19 wins overall and a trip to the NIT (maybe even on the bubble depending upon how every one else in the country plays and how we do in the Big Ten tourny. I'm going with my heart and saying this happens.

F it, we're beating Michigan at home too. That gets us to 20 and then a win in the Big Ten tourny gets us dancing. I'm all in on this, we're going to the tournament this year.

(No, my head says none of this will happen but I'm looking at the most winnable games we have left and saying we are winning them all. Since my predictions mean nothing I'm going to have fun and optimism with this)

If you can tell me how Basabe and Cartwright are going to play I could give you a better answer. Those two need to be playing at their best or we are screwed.
