I thought it would be somewhat interesting to see how the Big West teams did this year against each other, and then against the rest of the conference. First, their records when playing each other:
Iowa 4-0
ILL 3-1
Gophers 2-1
Huskers 2-2
Badgers 2-3
Wildcats 1-3
Boilers 0-4
Hawkeyes win the "mythical" title when counting division games only.
How did the teams fare outside of their "division" games? Not very well!!!
ILL 3-2
MN 3-3
IA 2-3
Wisc 1-3
NW 1-4
PU 0-5
The Big West teams were a combined 10-20 against the rest of the league.
Overall Big Ten records:
IA 6-3
ILL 6-3
MN 5-4
Wisc 3-6
Neb 3-6
NW 2-7
Purdue 0-9
Hawkeyes were co-champs with Illinois when you count all conference games.
