There's a name you don't hear anymore and has there ever been an Iowa player on an active roster as long as him? James Ferentz and Nate Kaeding both had shorter careers and Kreiter will be in the league for a while yet.
He's 35 years old, gets $1.2 mil a year and is over $10m total earnings. Plays a position where CTE risk is pretty much non-existent, and has no pressure of being a kicker or punter. How often do you see a long snapper make any contact with an opposing player? Doesn't have to live in the weight room or risk any sort of injury in practice. Basically just gets to live life under the radar staying in decent shape, working a few minutes a week during a game, and makes sure no one in his immediate family will ever want for anything. Talk about the dream job.
Here's to you, Casey.
