To be totally honest, there’s no way they should score or would score against half the Big Ten but we know how it’s gonna go. I’m calling it now, 7-7 at half, crowd is booing when we punt with 0:27 left before half, 17-7 Hawks final.

Montana state would beat these guys 52-3 but that’s not our style.

Oh, I think the offense will look "good". Because they will run the ball at will. Which, combined with the opponent's level of ability will make some conservative passing plays a slam dunk even for this Iowa team.


But still less than 130* yards passing. A couple decent looking completions of 10-15 yards and a larger handful of 3 yard completions to a TE who gets another 5-10 in YAC. Once the running game and a few of these conservative passes put the Hawks up by 14, Kirk will shut down the offense and we'll have no clue if the opponent is just that bad or if there is some life.

The fans aren't looking for an excuse, they're looking for some offense. This sh** is getting old. If it's run, run, run...people will get pissed and they should.

I think so. But like I said 60 of them will come on 2-3 plays to a tight end that would normally be a 7 yard pickup against a decent defense.

The other 80 will be on 3-7 yard pickups with a stray 10 yard completion.

And that will be it. Once Iowa is up, it'll be nothing but ground pounding broken up by the occasional field goal and more likely a punt. Maybe a 60 yard run for 6 by any of the backs

G goes 11-18 for 141 yards.
Runningbacks eat snacks and rack up 240 yards without once breathing hard.

ISU just got a gift to maintain their lead. Didn't see the offensive PI call that erased a touchdown, but that holding call that just erased another Pig State touchdown was not holding. And I would probably call holding on every play.
