Hope that flu bug comes and goes quickly

McCabe had it yesterday, Basabe was sick during the second half today. Hope it doesn't spread around the team, and if it does, it appears to be the 1-day variety (I hope).

Also, just heard Clemmons sprained an ankle in practice yesterday, and his status is not known yet for the Tuesday game at Bloomington. Fran will be rotating Gesell, Marble, and Oglesby at the PG if Clemmons isn't ready.

Evidently you do not know how those things work. It will go around the team, they are together constantly, they share the same basketball in practice. Happens to every team from Junior High level, to High School, to D1.

If it is the same flu bug I have, it won't, been sick for over a week now, just brutal stuff. I honestly don't know how someone could play basketball with the crap I have.

I was wondering where Clemmons was today.

Clemmons is injured. Ankle sprain.

Do thesesuys not get flu shots paid for? Or is that a violation?

The "flu" is a term often misused by some to describe a gut bug. Like Norovirus. Vomiting and diarrhea. Can last 1-3 days average. This sounds like what these boys have. They gotta keep up on their fluids.

Influenza is the one you get a flu shot for. It's symptoms consist of fever, body aches, cough and when you get it you are down for a good week. Vomiting is not a usual symptom of influenza, except in kids sometimes. This kills a lot people every year. Nobody wants a gut bug, but if you've ever had influenza, you know you don't want that again.

If these guys have a one or two day stomach bug it is not the real influenza. Real flu like H1N1 makes people really ill when it rips up the lungs bad enough pneumonia bacteria can take over and people die or in bed for a couple of weeks.

I sure hope these guys and gals do get flu shots which is a great way to prevent it.

I have influenza right now and yes, I don't want to get it again.
For example, on Monday evening, I got out of bed and hit what I thought was my knee, but I was so dizzy/delirious that I had done something to my foot as I had this huge bruise on it the next morning and could barely walk, that was when I decided to go to the ER.
This is the worst thing I have had, I think ever, just when you think you are getting better, it reminds you that you have no control on your body and kicks you in the nuts again...I didn't go to work all week. My doctor told me it will be at least 2 weeks before I won't have dizzy spells and about 3 weeks for all the body pain to go away, it sucks.

It's bad ****. If you feel like you are getting worse get back to the doctor ASAP.

Fran said both Clemmons and Jok were out with injuries and both Mel and Gabe had flu-like symptoms.

I'm more worried about Mel and Gabe going into IN.

I honestly feel better today than I have any day since last week. The worst thing now is I am still coughing, but that is a hit or miss thing, either one day I am, or I am not, kinda weird.

The doctor I went to, I am personal friends with, so he gave all the high powered stuff. He has been checking up on my each day. When I am not coughing though and I get active for a bit, man once I sit down it just hits me, crap wears you out quick.

The first thing he told me was, this is the bug that has been killing people in Toledo, so that gave me a warm and fuzzy. Had a chest X-Ray and all was clear, so he basically said, stay home take this stuff and rest. In my younger days, I probably wouldn't have went to the ER and that would have been really smart after I know more about this crap.
