Hope Lowe Stays

Reports are that the team wants him to stay and he might. My hope is that he gets a medical redshirt for the year and gets to come back next year to provide some depth with Bernstine, Prater, and Castillo moving on.

Can't fault the kid for looking around considering his situation.

Me too, I actually thought he played better than Castillo. I thought it was more physical and a better tackler.

I would imagine he could but, if he is medically cleared to play that would be kinda hard to pull off

Lowe has not had a redshirt year so he doesnt need the medical. If he sits out entire 2011 season, he can play in 2012.

Didnt realize he has not taken a redshirt yet. I bet he stays and if he cant get up to playing weight/condition, he will redshirt and compete next year. At least i hope so

Excellent news, if he does decide to stay...but I'm sure if he does, it's only so he can secretly accumulate evidence for the impending lawsuit and the easy payday he was obviously looking to cash in on...

I got that vibe as well, I was just waiting to see at the end of the article where it says he and his family have filed a lawsuit against the university.:(

I hope he stays. From Ferentz saying in his press conferences that this is something that most do not have full knowledge off (me included, I hadn't heard about prior to this outbreak).

From the article it sounds like he will be out this year. No matter what happens, I hope he is well and things end up getting back to normal. I was looking forward to him stepping up this year given his experience.

Number 1, I hope he gets better and gets some weight back. Number 2, I hope he decides to stay and completes his career here. Those are the most important. I really hope he can get better enough to play this year and perform well to set himself up for a possible NFL career.

No matter what happens if he stays or goes, I hope he can fully recover and do what he loves to do.

Reported in Gazette this morning that he's leaving. With some of his comments I bet there's a lawyer involved already.

Link, please? I searched the Gazette online and couldn't find a definitive statement he is leaving. Not to say it's not true, just can't find it.

Said in the paper he asked and was given his release but they were hoping he would stay with the team.

That's what I've seen, along with a relative's comment that he thought he would stay. My guess is he goes. Doesn't seem you go through the efforts of requesting a release and then not do it ... unless there's no interest among other schools.

In the article that had those relative's comments Fred Mims is quoted saying it happens you just never hear about it.

Not trying to knock the kid but i don't think he's going to have a ton of suitors.

Sometimes it only ends up being a cyst, but it's best to remove the cyst just to be safe and confirm that it doesn't turn into cancer.
