Holtz changes mind: ND should consider B10

And heres a picture of the reporter that interviewed him...

That is not an insignificant reversal of opinion by Holtz. He is still revered by Irish fans and still camps for them.

I could envision Swarbrick having Holtz help him grease the skids on this front, too...

I agree with Jon, it is a big deal that Holtz said this. Most all Irish fans still love this guy. And it probably is a way of greasing up the fan base for their eventual move to the Big 10.
That being said, I still cannot stand ND, and the thought of Lou on ESPN for another year is nauseating to me. Sometimes I wish he wasn't such a tiny old man and Mark May would actually beat the crap out of him on national television. It really shows no journalistic/tv integrity to have such a "golden domer" on such prime time ESPN programming.

Just my thoughts. This may be the first "trial balloon" floated by Notre Dame. Have Holtz publicly give his stamp of approval before they start to leak their intentions. (though that in itself is a leak).

We may look back in a few weeks and see that this was the first real indication of Notre Dame's move to the Big Ten.
