Hockenson, Fant Mackey Award Semifinalists

I gotta think Hock follows Fant into the draft. Any idea where TJ's measurables (40, vertical) are?

Have not heard any testing for him but I would guess he does very well. FWIW, Kiper has him ranked as the No. 5 TE. I bet he could raise his stock with testing to go with the game film.

I'll be interested to see what he's thinking. He or KF probably will be asked about it soon.

If Hock leaves there goes all the playmakers on offense. I guess there’s ISM.

I love having TJ and Fant but I would be supremely happy for both of them going into the draft. They don’t deserve to play for this garbage staff and coming back next year would only hurt both of them.

TJ returning and getting double coverage all year and potentially not being one of KF’s pet poodles will only hurt him.

Do you think Fant will make 1st team all Big 10? Would be hard when your stubborn head coach only plays you on occasion. I think Hoch will for sure.

I think hockenson wins first team. Those things are often a combo of popularity and shear stats. Hockenson right now is like 8th in receiving yards, way more than any other tight end and has more tight ends by far then anybody but fant. The hawks are known for having the tight ends this year. I honestly think tj will be first team and noah 2nd.

but I can't remember if they put one or two on the first team, in my memory I thought it was one. probably just matters how many can be "first team." the guy at purdue isn't gonna hop over tj and most of the other teams tight ends have mediocre stats.

sternberger from texas a and m is probably your 1st team all American, otherwise the guy from ucla. Tj has a shot at 2nd or 3rd team all American however. Especially if he has a good game next week.
