HN TV: Kelvin Bell Dishes on the Defensive Line

This was a positive interview, it feels like Kelvin Bell has stepped right in for Reese Morgan.

After listening I felt very positive about the continued superior play of this group.

Bell talked about working towards an 8 man rotation, I thought for a minute he was going to say we could have a 10 man rotation. If I were in this position group I'd be pumped and pumping iron in getting ready for this fall. Even the younger guys have an opportunity.

Let's see what names I remember. Golston, Lattimore, Reiff, and AJ would be the starters right now. Nixon, Shannon, Waggoner look likely to be in the rotation. While Schulte, Duwa, Nelson and others that might emerge are working to get into that rotation.

Throw in the feisty, tough, hyper Amani Jones who looks to be a stand up edge rusher raoming along the line looking for way to squirt through the line and disrupt things.

I don't see why this group can't be stellar once again. And, I imagine they like playing for Coach Bell.

Bell made several references to someone named Zach which didn't register with me. I looked him up and see he is Zach Vanvalkenburg and he was all everything in high school in Michigan and all everything in Divison II. We'll see if he emerges.

One of the coaches (can't remember which) mentioned Schulte as an ascending player, actually fighting for a starting job right now. So he is in for sure.

Nelson is out with an injury, sounds like into the early fall, so that stinks.

There have to be some other LBs trying out the stand-up edge defender thing. I wonder who?

Seth Wallace mentioned Dillon Doyle and Niemann.

Spring is for experimenting.
