High School Girls BB Game---and the D-1 Coaches watching

We attended the girl's game between #1 Cedar Rapids Kennedy and #3 Linn Mar. It was a battle of a number of D-1 Talents. Kennedy's Jade Rodger (James Moses' daughter and Iowa committ) scored 21. Linn Mar was lead by Kia Stokes (Greg's Daughter) and DJ Norman (Southern Utah committ).

The D-1 coaches and players in the crowd (watching Kia) was pretty amazing.

Talked to a relative of one of the coaches. They said that this season has been peppered with D-1 coaches at Linn Mar games. UConn, Notre Dame, Tennessee, Iowa, and Rutgers are regular visitors trying to gain Kia's services.

The Iowa woman could use some good luck with recruiting after what is happening this year. I have never witnessed a team go through so many injuries in a season. Hopefully their luck changes for the better.

You are correct. The one Iowa player in attendance, her name is Theria, was the player that popped her ACL just a few weeks ago. Considering the Iowa women's team has had to go to bringing in walk-ons just to have a full practice, this team is seeing some tough times. They are extremely young, so hopefully, this experience will pay off a few years down the road.
