Have you been receiving a lot of crap this week from fellow co workers, etc? It seems Gopher fans are highly confident this weekend..why shouldn't they be? I've taken it non stop, and neglected to say a word back. I'm just hoping we find a way to win Saturday so I can finally hear these guys shut up!

I live in Rochester. I've never had a MN fan say anything to me on the street....only the idiots that are at the games. If we lose, however, I fully expect the ISU fans to razz me.
 
It amazes me that fans of Minn. can talk crap after being one of the worst teams in the Nation for the past 10 years.
 
On a somewhat related note, does anyone have the easiest/quickest directions to Iowa City from the Twin Cities? I haven't been down to Kinnick since the 2002 ISU game (fun first half). One of my friends is going to the game; he's a Goofer so maybe we should make him drive an extra couple of hours. I have to coach my son's 3/4 grade fb game so can't make the trip with him. He can mapquest it, but I was wondering if there were a few tips that people know. Thanks and Go Hawks! Please don't lose to the Rodents for 3 straight years.

I35 to 18 just south of Clear Lake. 18 west turns into 218. Take thru Waterloo to hwy 20 west to i380 and follow thru CR to Coralville. Take Hawkeye Express train for Coral Ridge mall.

Avenue of the Saints, bra. I do it often. Just head down I-35 and take the Hwy 18 Exit just past Mason City. Cruise right thru W'loo/C Falls...CRapids and on to ICity. (rest stop required at the Mason City/ Clear Lake exit (about 40% of the way there) for a pee and a slice of Casey's Pizza)

You can do it in 4 1/2 hours easy.
 
I go every Saturday home game from Rochester. I just go straight down 63 to Waterloo then 380 to Iowa City. If you're coming from the Cities, especially if your'e more west you migh want to go I35 (218) to Waterloo. HWY 63 is 55mph two lane through MN, but eventually opens to 4 a few times before Waterloo.
 
Re: MN fans. I was at a HS FB game in MN Fri before CMU beat us and they 'Cuse. Talk about cocky. We are going to kill Iowa we beat them past two and we weren't good...and they werent talking smack to Iowa fans just amongst themselves. Not that they won't beat us but to start taking winning any game forgranted...not a good idea. I mean did they learn nothing with all their futility?

Thanks everyone for the responses. I am ashamed that we've lost two in a row to them. The thing that sucks about losing is you have to take every word they throw at you. Scoreboard means a lot. I have no idea how the point spread is what it is, but I feel like it will be a major upset if we beat the Gophers in Iowa City. I can't even believe I typed that.
 
Please Hawkeyes for the sake of my children beat the Goffers. I don't care how. Don't make them listen to another years worth of bragging at school! I beg of you!!! Just do it

I have lived in Minnesota for approaching 10 years, I can't recall one Gopher Fan talking garbage to me when I wear or display my Hawk Stuff. It just doesn't happen.. Even at the games I've attended. I actually would say the opposite Sparky, It amazes me on how less crap they talk. That tells me that 99% of Gophers know where they stand during Football season.
 
Yeah but this season so far has changed that mindset for the gophers. If they beat Iowa those goofer fans will be NON STOP for the rest of the season talking trash to us and to other B1G teams. In fact there will probably be some good trash talking from their fans when they get to Kinnick this weekend.
