I have opted out of the politics cave. Yet, every time I read one of your posts, I am bombarded with hyper partisan fear mongering, blood letting, moronic political ads from both sides.

I think I should have to opt in to see political ads.

Third party ads are contextual and geo targeted. Ads show up for a number of reasons.

1. Where you live. If it's in Iowa, pol ads are probably going to show up between now and November.

2. What you search. Companies look at your search results and where you have been and display ads based off the cookies you have. 99% of the time when virus warnings go off, it's due to this rebranding practice that most all of the ad companies use these days

3. The content on the page: It searches for keywords to match up ads with what is being discussed.

In the case of some of the video ads on the content pages, none of these apply; they play what they have sold.
