Wisconsin football was on life support when he arrived, and the athletic department in general wasn't in much better shape. And Barry was influencing other athletic programs well before he took the dual role.

Don't know the behind-the-scene politics at Wisconsin so I am not sure if Chris Mcintosh is an automatic successor or not. I will find it entertaining as Cyclones fans sweat it out as their beloved AD's name gets tossed around as a possible candidate.

It'll be interesting to see what happens with Wisky athletics after Barry. Most other schools, even bluebloods change coaches and have to undergo rebuilding. Aside from last year's football team the Badgers just seem to reload. Very strange situation imho.
