Rob Howe and Tom Kakert at Kirk's press conference today. Due to injuries. That definitely thins things out a little...

Ummmm....Hamilton and Alston never played. Maybe special teams. Herman saw his PT drastically diminish over the 2nd half of the year.

Not exactly crushing blows here.

hamilton and alston played special teams and i thought quite well. we already are struggling on sp teams now take 2 guys that have done well off of them. especially against an explosive team. this isnt good.

Hamilton and Alston played special teams and Alston also subbed in at LB since early October.

You're wrong Sash-wannabe. Yes, these guys didn't start, but they provided much needed depth.

Yeah, who needs depth, anyway?

No Coker, no McCall? Psh, that's no big deal.

No Hamilton or Herman? Yeah, we're fine as long as nothing happens to CJ or Derby.

No Alston? He's only the first sub at linebacker, we don't need him.

No Sleeper? No problem, as long as Miller and Bernstine don't get hurt or need attention, we won't even notice.

Individually, most of these absences aren't that big of a deal. But they add up in a hurry.

Better hope it is just a minor thing with Alston that they are being careful with. The Hawk front 7 is already going to be a mess next year. Taking away Alston at MLB will be a massive blow.

You're an idiot.

Hamilton literally never saw the field outside of special teams, which are going to have little to no impact on how this game will go.

Alston saw a handful of defensive snaps all year long.

Herman was basically MIA for the entire 2nd half of the season. Fiedorowicz was by far the best TE this year, and making it so that he is constantly on the field can only help this team.

The only potential negative here is that Zach Derby is basically guaranteed the 2nd most minutes of all TEs.

Again, you're a moron supahfan33439i84939483

Thanks for posting that A-hole....how many kick and punt returns will OU have now?

i disagree about alston and hamilton on sp teams. all ive seen is how they tend to be more athletic than us. there are 1 main place athleticism kills in the open field. where is there a lot of open field on kick off and punt returns. take two guys out who have been on sp teams all yr and try to get two new guys ready is a big deal against ou. i dont think herman is a huge loss because of cjf emerging but he is still a better blocker than derby. which i think our tes will block more on passes because of the loss of coker to help with a very good sack team. i could see a lot of 3-1-1 sets with rogers the lone back and only the 3 wrs go out for passes. herman being a good blocker would have helped.

Yeah, that's definitely a blow to sp teams. A bigger blow would of been Nico Law. He's been ripping it up on sp teams. Hopefully Derby can provide a spark as well.
