Classic moment - the gang was talking about the NE MI game and showed a graph with NE, MI, IA and NW and Fowler tried to say all four had a shot - Herby looks at him and says Iowa? with the rest of the group trying not to chuckle.

When will the madness with corporal kirk stop?
 
I really hope it happens and we can prove him wrong. However sadly it appears Herby has been paying attention..
 
At this point of the season, we are what we are. All the people waiting for Iowa to wake up and start being great are simply deluding themselves.
We are what we are. And what we are is a team with a decent defense and a horrendous offense. That ain't hate, it's reality.

true words. sad words, but true. our only chance of winning games from here on out is like the Mich St game. Ugly, low scoring, with a chance to make a FG at the end for the win. we have zero chance of winning a shootout, so if the other team can score early like PSU, we just can't come back from that, esp with the short passing game system in place.
 
Lets not act like the Cyclone fans and expecting undeserving respect. Besides was Herbs point Iowa have no shot at this weeks matchup or winning the leaders division? Cause obviously the latter is much more understandable after last weeks performance.
 
NW?....c'mon,they have beaten IU and Minny. They have to go to MSU and Michigan. They are further out of the picture than Iowa.

As much as some fans hate the fact...if Iowa wins today,and Mich loses at nebby,Iowa will be tied for the top of the Legends division,and very much in the hunt.

but do you honestly think we have a shot? are we going to win out when we still have to play Nebby, Mich, Purdue and Indy? do you really think so? cause most of us don't. i'd love it if we said "screw it, lets go 2004 offense and go for broke" and won some of those games. i just don't see it though.

The sad thing is this year we don't even have to be great. With the way the other teams in our division are playing, we only needed to be halfway decent and we can't even manage that.
