What one offensive player and one defensive player (Hawks of course) will have the biggest impact in the win over Penn State.

I think it's going to be a close game and we will have difficulty running. I'm going with Allen Risner.... predicting he catches 2 TD passes, the second in in the 4th quarter to "nail the coffin shut" a Hawk win.

On D I think the line does thier job and forces state to throw. I think Greenwood plays well and gets 2 picks. One early in the game and a pick late in the 3rd Q when state is threatening.

All that said I hope I'm wrong and put them out of the game in the 1st half.

Who do you think will have biggest impact on each side of the ball.

I've been calling the PSU game to be Keenan Davis' breakout game for awhile now, so I'm going to say Davis and Sash (freshman QB=fresh meat for a ballhawk).

I'm going to cheat and say the big plays are going to have to happen on special teams for us to win. Offense and defense will take care of themselves.

That said, I'll take Troy Johnson to have a big night on kick-off coverage.

Offense:

Stanzi...he will spread the ball around and he will be surgical, slicing up the PSU secondary to the tune of 19-24, 258 yards, 3 TDs and no picks.

Defense:

Adrian Clayborn...he's been waiting for this game. The beast will be unleashed to the tune of 6 Tackles, 3 for loss and 2 sacks.

I think Sash is going to have a monster game. Like Jon wrote I think he gets a pick tomorrow night.

On offense DJK is going to explode. Stanzi will have nice numbers because of this.

Im thinking DJK, maybe get real close to those records or it would be real koul if he broke them in a game as big as this one. Once again Im going with Micah Hyde with a pick and a bunch of tackles. I think they will come out testing Micah and he will have a huge impact on the start of the game.

I think DJK hits the career records for both yards and catches. 14 grabs and 71 yards is what he needs (If I'm doing my math right). I think he has a career day with 15 catches, 165 yards and 3 TDs.

On defense, I think the forgotten man (the other DT, who isn't Daniels and isn't Ballard, #95, I think, but I can't remember his name right now) will have a big game.

Offense: Stanzi......I think RS will pick apart the defense. He won't have huge numbers but he'll be consistent. Iowa's defense will put our offense in good field position, but Stanzi will throw for over 230 with 3 TD's.

Defense: Clayborn.....if there's one game you can expect AC to come alive, it's against PSU. He'll get his sack and then another. Not to mention the double teams he will see will free up another rising star in Daniels.

Yards is pretty realistic- don't see him hauling in 15... would be awesome though!

I'm going with with Robinson controlling the ball and getting lose for 175 and two scores and Daniels with 4 tackles for a loss plus a sack and a forced fumble.

I agree with the OP on the Offensive Player being Allen R. but then I must throw in Stanzi. I think both teams are going to do a good job shutting down the run and force the other team to throw. PSU young linebackers are going to be exposed by Stanzi and company tonight.

Defense - I think Hunter is going to have a huge game tonight. 1 int. 1 forced fumble and 16 tackles (4 solo). Once Iowa D-line shuts down Royster, the freshman is going to be forced to pass. PSU knows Iowa plays bend but don't break defense and they will try to throw a lot of underneath passes. That is how Hunter records such a big game.

Iowa 28 PSU 16

I like Sash to have a game to reassert himself as a premiere safety. Not that he hasn't played well, but I have a feeling he'll get a pick tonight.

What makes you think its a for sure win??? Ya I think the hawks will win, and i hope they do, but isn't that statement a little overconfident?
