A defensive back is ineligible due to the gambling inquiry. Doc and Rob have declined to name the player. We’ll know on game day

Yeah that's been thrown out there for a little while now but for whatever reasons nobody is coughing up who it is. Which is insane to me. Guess we'll know soon enough but if Kirk has known this why would he be in the 2 deeps/practicing as if he's going to play with this still out there? I just hope it's not a starter but I have no clue. The media all seems to know who it is but for whatever reasons they won't share it.

A lot of smoke on Twitter within the last week about Jermari Harris. I saw Xavier's name mentioned a couple of times as well. No proven depth at all behind Harris if it's him. Sea Bass is listed behind Xavier if it's him. I'd cry if it was him.

Hawkcentral reporting that Reames is also a gambling suspension. Harris is expected back for Week 3 vs. W. Michigan.

I guess the silver lining here is that we need better depth at CB, and game experience is the best way of developing it.

Of the backups, DeShaun Lee has the highest ceiling IMO, but I would expect that Hall will get the nod. I fully expect Utah State to exploit that. We'll see if either holds up. Phil won't hesitate to rotate guys in if big plays occur. He expects perfection from whoever is out there. Gotta love that about him.

He had the one missed tackle, but overall looked solid. A lot of upside there.
He actually graded out by the pros higher than X. Despite his int. he had a poor tackling day apparently. Our linebacker transfer didn't grade out well either or our MAC transfer as well. Hopefully the transition for both smooths out. The pass blocking was a surprise, thought it was much better than last year. Think the running game will improve when Cade is allowed to cut it loose and make a team pay for a 9 man box.
