Who should be Iowa's head football coach?

KF should be. Although I do not care for him, I dont want to end up like Minnesota or end up like our Bball team did after Davis was forced out.

BUT if there is a 120% chance we get BB or Stoops, then I will take them in a heartbeat.
 








JOKE BWS, FING JOKE, we weren't even favored and lost to PENN STATEe on the road. i realized they aren't the normal penn state, but maybe we aren't the normal Iowa. I don't think coaching had a lot to do with it, our la-monroe dilusions were realized. People need to get a clue, let's fire him and get football licklighter in him.

Twice this year the line has moved massively against Iowa right after it came out. Vegas knows something we don't, which I suppose is the reason they do what they do. In any case, keep your eyes on the next few lines. If they move against Iowa right out the shoot, expect a loss.

I'm just standing in for our buddy okeefe4prez, who is right now at Ryan Field watching Northwestern work with a 14-7 lead over #11 Meatchicken.
Shoelaces has teh Blue on the move, however, with about 5 min to go before half. It's an entertaining game.
EDIT: michigan just tied it up with a nifty screen play

Let me start with the fact that I understand why many are very upset right now. Today is one of the worst all around performances I've seen in years.

That being said, I voted for Kirk Ferentz. Just think of what would happen if Iowa let him go.

1. The national media would kill Iowa. The Hawkeyes have had 3 coaches in the last 50 years that have brought success and he is one of them. He has four 10 win/top 10 seasons, the biggest bowl victory in 50 years, and is 3-1 against the SEC in bowl games.

2. Don't think possible canidates won't consider those facts. Right or wrong, Iowa is considered a very difficult place to win.

3. Kirk makes big money because he has been loyal to Iowa. Barta isn't going to throw 4 million on an up and coming assistant or some HC from the MAC. Most likely, he's going to make a similiar hire to Fran, a solid coach at at medium salary.

4. We lose Norm. Without him, those 10 win seasons are a fantasy.

I'm about as disappointed as I can remember. I'm very concerned about where this team is headed. I'm just going to hang in there and hope Kirk & crew can turn it around.
