Hawks Open as a 17.5 Point Favorite

I think Iowa can cover this. Minnesota is worse than Indiana and there might be more Iowa fans than Goofer fans at the game

I have a feeling hawks will be up for this one and focused all week at practice to take out some frustration from last year. Hawks cover the 17.

I just want this game over with and in the win column and get bowl eligible before the tough November schedule.

I don't feel like we will cover 17 as Minny has an athletic QB in Marqueis Gray who I'm sure will be amazingly accurate on the 7 yard out patterns on 3rd down. Plus he'll run for a lot of yards and eat up a lot of clock. Our offense should be able to outscore them, but I can just see Minny putting together a solid game against us for the 1st time since USC.

Seems a bit high.

I think the Hawks will win by double digits. But the final spread will be less than the Indiana game. I'm sure there will be a lot of fight in the Gophers on their home field. Iowa needs to take care of business and take it to them for four quarters.

This will not be an easy game. But in the end Iowa prevails to the score of 34 to 24, or thereabouts.

I can't see Iowa scoring less that 40 points. We have a really good offense and everyone else they've played in the Big Ten has scored at least 40 on them.

My father was at the Minn-Neb game on Saturday. He said the Rodents' pass defense is hideously bad.

Just put it up and let Marvin go get it.

A bit high? Minnesota has lost by 58, 28, and 27 in Big 10 play this season. That line seems like easy money for the Hawks to cover

One of those games where it is critical for Iowa to get up early,as the Gophers are probably ready to cave if we get them down. Then we could name the score.
