What are the rules on offers? If we offer him now, and he turns out to be terrible, can we pull the offer? Or are we required to take him? Is it like when a player signs an LOI, where the school would have to release him, but vice versa?

Offers do not become official until the kid's senior year.

I would guess the only way he would lose the offer is if he was arrested. Even if he gets injured I think they would still honor it.

There are plenty more reasons as to why the offer could be pulled than that. Like a previous poster said, it's not binding until Iowa offers a written offer which will be the kid's senior year, so technically Iowa could pull it at any time for whatever reason. Would they do that? Probably not. We don't have a classless coaching staff. They actually have some integrity unlike a lot of other slime balls coaches. Which is one of the reason why I'm proud to be a Hawk and know that we have it real good with this coaching staff, even though I complain a bit more than I should probably.
