Iowa's reputation as an NFL talent pipeline continues. The Hawks were 3rd best in the B1G with 4 draft picks this year.

Michigan - 11 (school record)
Ohio State - 7
Iowa - 4
Wisconsin - 3
Northwestern - 2
Michigan State - 2
Illinois - 1
Indiana - 1
Nebraska - 1
Minnesota - 1
Penn State - 1
Purdue - 1
Rutgers - 0
Maryland - 0

... and oh yes, Iowa State - nada

Another interesting tidbit, MAC schools finished with 13 picks, only one behind the B12 which had 14.

I saw that Daniels signed with the Patriots. Don't be surprised if he sticks and replaces Blounts role there. He'd be a lot cheaper and fresher with younger legs. I was a bit surprised he wasn't drafted.

They picked up Mike Gilillsee from the Bills for that role so I don't know. GL Leshun though. Hope he blows Hoodie away with his talent.

I had a serious conversation with God last night about how crazy it was that this team beat Michigan. I mean, they had like twenty players drafted last night.

I wonder how their fans are going to deal with the upcoming season. Probably going to be 8 wins max, IMO.

Just hope he don't test positive for them ;). He'll be the first RB taken that wants a Reggie Bush/McCaffery style of back. I just hope we use him as such... If he has any game with less than 20 touches the coaches deserve to be fired. Closer to 25 preferably.

I missed that. Yeah he wasn't bad either last year in what little bit he played. It'll be an uphill climb for Daniels he won't be handed anything but the guy just has everything physically you'd want. If he could catch and pass protect better he'd be just about perfect. Wish him the best I've always rooted for that kid he's a quiet humble hard working guy.

I have far more confidence in Brian and KOK getting the most out of Wadley than I would have with Davis.

Agree. Hoping the QB situation gets sorted out quickly, otherwise teams are going to load up on Akrum and make the going a bit tougher on him. Certainly not based on what I saw in the spring "game", but I believe one will emerge - my guess is it will be Stanley.

So, when Iowa peels off a MAC recruit here and there, that's not such a bad thing, is it?

Reggie Bush was so incredible that '05 season......Reggie Bush on steroids is a lot to live up to. If he exceeds what RB did in '05 Iowa will win at least 10 games.

Exactly right. Too many on this board underestimate the MAC. To put it in perspective, the MAC produced more draft worthy talent this year than the bottom 10 schools in the Big Ten. The typical MAC team may not be as deep as a B1G team but they do have some talent.

Just a FYI, this is a fake twitter account, think Fake Bo Pelini. @danpom69 is a dead giveaway.

That is funny. Totally played some. :)

Regarding NFL, it is surprising to me that more 4* recruits don't choose Iowa. Many of the players we put in the NFL are low star recruits, so always makes me wonder why higher level recruits don't think "I wonder what they could do for me if they can get that guy drafted".

Well, Leshun has the character check box on Gilillsee since Gil was suspended last year for PEDs or drugs or something. Then again, Hoodie had Legerette Blount on his team for a few years and we all know he's had his issues.
