I am surprised I did not see much mention of Bower in any of the pro-day write-ups. He ran the fastest 40 of the 3 LBs (4.57 vs. 4.6 vs. 4.68), beat MVB and Wadley in the shuttle (was essentially the same as Jackson), and bested Niemann in the vert and bench press.

I think he was clearly our 3rd best LB last year (fewer high-impact plays than the other 2, typically the LB that would come out in substitution packages), but I wonder if he might have a shot of making a roster?

Bower has slowly elevated his play over the years. Jewell had excellent instincts from the get go. Niemann is a good coverage guy.

Rob: I heard that Ryan Boyle served as the QB for the Pro Day throwing to Vandeberg, Kulick, Wadley and Butler as well as the defensive drills. Threw with "accuracy and zip. Any word on his participation of where he is transferring to? Love to see him as a Gopher, but heard he was restricted from Big10 and conference opponents the next 2 years?
