You say in the analysis the lone sack was from Weisman getting knocked over but it seemed like Vandy could have easily avoided that sack by taking just one step up in the pocket. Instead he sat still and took the sack. Just my observation. Weisman did get driven into the ground a couple of times in PP though.

Yeah I watched that play a couple of times and he probably could have felt that pressure and climbed the pocket. Gholston was pushing in on the other side of the pocket but there was still room. JVB had his eyes down-field and looked surprised Weisman got run over. Gave him the benefit of the doubt there.

When our walk on fullback has pretty much the same stats running against msu's D line as one of the best running backs in the big 10 had against our D line, I would say our O line did pretty good.

Yeah thanks to acouple big runs in the second half, otherwise in the first half what did he have like 21 yds? Bell didn't break any huge runs but did get like a legitimate 4.8 yds a carry where Weisman's long rushes helped him average 4.5 yds per carry. I'm not knocking them because MSU has a legit defense but to say they did great is abit of a stretch if you ask me.

I will say that part of the problem in the 1st half was the running decisions of weismann. Even the announcers noted that he was sort of impatient on some early cutbacks in the 1st half, and may have found more running room where the play was designed to go initially. Weismann clearly looked more patient in the second half running the football, especially on the 3rd and 6 when scherff ate gholston for lunch.

Actually Bell had a 27 yard run.
