Hawkeyes play a midweek game at Bradley tonight at 6 pm. You can catch the game on ESPN+ or on the radio through the Hawkeye Sports Network.

Iowa comes into this game with an RPI of 68. Bradley has a 8-14 record and ranked 138th in the RPI, but it’s a road game so a win can help Iowa.

Iowa down 6-3 in the B2. Bradley batter just hit a grand slam and the guy on first went back to the bag after the batter rounded first base. He should have been called out but even after a replay review (which I didn’t know they had in college) the umpires called him safe.

Bases are loaded again….still nobody out. Heller has already made 3 pitching changes this inning.

Brecht is coming into the game. B5 still down 6-4

Wow, I can see why Brecht is going to be a great pitcher. He brings the HEAT, he struck out the side and no one could even make contact.

He struck out the side again! He has pitched 2 innings with 6 strikeouts and only 24 pitches.

Iowa still down 6-4

Hawkeyes score 2 in T8 to tie the game up 6-6. Sher dropped down a perfect bunt on a squeeze play to tie up the game.

Hawkeyes took the lead in the T9 on an error by the Bradley shortstop. Iowa up 7-6 heading to the B9.

It took 11 innings but Iowa battled to a 9-8 victory. Iowa should bump up 3-5 spots in the RPI.
