Christmas day or the season opener, which day is better and why?

Opening day, because I don't get yelled at on Opening Day like I do on Christmas for waking up at 6am to start drinking.

Opening day. When I was younger, Christmas. But now that I get to go to every home game as a student, college football has become even more exciting for me than it was in high school. I can't wait for The Boom!!!!

Christmas Eve with my family...Christmas Day with the in-laws (i.e., I picked opening day). Opening day is a good day more-so because the rest of the football season is to come and its a first look at the team. The game itself, however, is usually not very exciting compared to the rest of the season (except for last year). Let's hope for a not too exciting game tomorrow (i.e., an Iowa blowout).

I'd have to say Opening Day is better. I'm home from school on Christmas and it's just gotten weird. My dad's new wife is only 4 years older than I am and she always comes down to open presents wearing next to nothing. I never know where to look.

Christmas Day...because Opening Day's "present" is usually a yawner vs a directional school (no offense UNI game 2009)...now Christmas Day vs ISU Game? Tougher decision there!

I'd have to say Opening Day is better. I'm home from school on Christmas and it's just gotten weird. My dad's new wife is only 4 years older than I am and she always comes down to open presents wearing next to nothing. I never know where to look.

Opening Day. The family gets together with the local I-Club and we eat BBQ and have high hopes for the season to come. We also usually stay in a hotel and make a weekend of it. Pretty much start the season off with a mini vacation and end it with a longer bowl vacation. Great times together.

Christmas Day: Kids wake me up too early, get all strung out on presents, keep me busy all day unpacking stuff they play with for three minutes. My wife gets stressed fom the noise and mess. The whole process is finished by 10:00 AM and then I am amazed because all the presents don't seem to help them entertain themselves any more than before. Compound this with the fact that our closest relative is about 3000 miles away and... I think you get the picture.

DuffMan's right...unless those are covered and she has a great a$$...it really all depends on what's being highlighted on that given morning. Now, if you're feeling uncomfortable for looking, since she IS your step mom and all, just remember that she's rockin' your wrinkly ol' pops and LIKIN' IT! That should be creepy enough to get rid of any impure thoughts...oh, and keep your ear off the wall/door...perv!
