Hawkeye Tickets Going Fast for TaxSlayer Bow

"with everything considered, record and such".

I dont think that was a good PR line to throw out there. That is like saying buy our service it is pretty average, and such.

I hope they sell their allotment and dont have to eat a bunch of dough.

I'm pretty sure this guy preps KF for his press conferences. "Hey KF, just throw in a "that's football" here and "ebb and flow" there...snort, say "he's done some good things" and people will love you.

The "with everything considered, record and such" is code for "these idiot Iowans will buy anything...since there isn't much else to do in Iowa in January"

Iowa is alloted 6,000 tickets and the sideline seats are OK.
Iowa is charging, either $105 or $145, per ticket.

It will be better attended than Miss State-Northwestern and Nebraska-Georgia.

If they're smart they'd make you sign waiver promising a downpayment on season tickets for next year.

Why just a year? I'd go three year commitment minimum. And then take a page from the Marlins and sue everyone who fails to follow through.

I remember being a little boy and playing football in the backyard..imagining that someday I would play in the taxslayer bowl. Now that Iowa has actually achieved this status...I can hardly control myself from spewing excitement all over my laptop. Anybody who doesn't spend their yearly vacation budget to watch this well oiled machine play is a flat out idiot.

I had that same dream. I would be down, by 6 with a minute left on the clock, and 2 timeouts. Then I would throw a 2 yard out to myself and get tackled in bounds. Then I would take my 1st time out. After the time out I would run a check down play to myself coming out of the back field get tackled in bounds and tak my last time out. By then due to me poor clock management I would only have time for a Hail Mary, but I could only throw to 15'yards so I ran a hook and ladder and pretend to be a 315 lb lineman trying to run it in, but went out of bounds just short. It was at that moment I knew I was meant to be a hawkeye. Ah the good ole days, things just aren't as good as they once was.

Can you still buy 2 together or are they down to singles at this point??
I'm not sure. The seats in Kinnick are so narrow that you can probably fit several Iowa fans comfortably into an average Gator Bowl seat. I'd hold off on buying pairs unless you have either a real fatty or an ISU bandwagon jumper in your group.
