Here's a run down of this week's game. In what I believe is the only instance of this all season, every game is on Friday this week:

DE David Kenney, Pike (Indianapolis) vs. Bloomington (IN) South
WR Derrick Willies, Rock Island (IL) at East Moline (IL) United
DB Delano Hill, Cass Tech (Detroit) vs. Ford (Detroit)
OL Colin Goebel, Naperville (IL) North vs. Glenbard East (Glen Ellyn, IL)
DT Nathan Bazata, Howells (NE) at Omaha Christian Academy
DT Brant Gressel, Centerville (Dayton, OH) at Fairmont (OH)
LB John Kenny, Carmel (IN) at Warren Central (Indianapolis)
QB Nic Shimonek, Mildred (Corsicana, TX) at Bloomington Grove (TX)
DB Malik Rucker, Robbinsdale (MN) Cooper at Fridley (MN)
WR Derrick Mitchell, Vashon (STL) vs. Miller Career Academy (STL)
WR Andre Harris, Kirkwood (MO) vs. Seckman (MO)
OL Sean Welsh, Springboro (OH) at West Carrolton (OH)
TE Ike Boettger, Cedar Falls at Cedar Rapids Prairie
ATH Trevon Young, Lincoln (Des Moines) vs. Thomas Jefferson (Council Bluffs)
DB Solomon Warfield, St Edward (Lakewood, OH) vs. McDowell (Eerie, PA)
LS Tyler Kluver, Marshalltown vs. Hoover (Des Moines)

Game of the week: ATH Matthew VandeBerg, Brandon Valley (SD) at Huron (SD)--This is the game of the week because there's a good chance it will see the biggest individual performance by any future Hawkeye. Undefeated Brandon Valley takes on winless Huron, and VandeBerg looks to top a dominant performance last week vs. Sioux Falls Lincoln, a top 5 team in South Dakota. He had 3 TD receptions and a 100-yard INT return for a TD in a 31-13 victory and could put up even bigger numbers this week against lesser competition.

Early scores:
Pike 14, Bloomington South 0 1ST HALF

Kirkwood 59, Seckman 7 FINAL--Andre Harris had a 20-yd TD reception.

He also had a 63 KO return. No touchdown.

Last week, I think he had three touchdowns. One for 50 yards, the other, 84. He also had a pick 6 on the other side of the line. I'm hoping to catch a game at my alma mater. But, most likely it'll be watching the JV play on Thanksgiving if Kirkwood makes it to the finals again.

He's playing on a team with an outstanding runningback and a Vick-like QB.
