Game of the week: Friday--OL Colin Goebel, Naperville (IL) North at Wheaton-Warrenville (IL) South

Carmel 49, Lawrence North 0 2ND
Springboro 14, Sidney 0 2ND
Centerville 21, Lebanon 0 2ND TOUCHDOWN BRANT GRESSEL--Recovered a fumble in the end zone!
Cass Tech 46, Cody 20 Late 4TH

Dowling drove 79 yards before their RB fumbled on the goal line. 1st and 10 Urbandale at their own 1. Dowling is playing a very fast tempo and running the ball a ton. I heard Allen Lazard's name called on defense a lot on the first drive.

Dowling misses a FG. They've run 22 plays and been in the red zone twice in the 1st, but they have zero points to show for it.

End of the 1st--Dowling 0, Urbandale 0. Dowling will have a 3rd down in the red zone at the start of the 2nd, but their QB just got hurt and might miss some time.

Edit: Haven't really heard Jon Wisnieski's name called yet, but he looks like a very good blocker on a team that runs the ball a ton.

Scores:
Dowling 7, Urbandale 6 2ND--Long TD catch and run for Allen Lazard. This kid is a freak.
Carmel 49, Lawrence North 0 HALF
Pike 21, Bloomington North 0 1ST
Centerville 21, Lebanon 6 2ND

Scores:
Pike 42, Bloomington North 0 2ND
Urbandale 14, Dowling 7 HALF-Lazard with another long catch to set up a TD run, then he caught the 2-pt conversion.
Centerville 21, Lebanon 13 HALF
Cedar Falls 7, Waterloo West 7 2ND

What's are chances with Lazard?

I always like Iowa's chances with in-state kids, but I think they're lower with Lazard than with other in-staters. His father played for ISU, and his brother is a walk-on for the Cyclones right now. Also, he is getting overtures from major players in the college football world, including LSU and others. Iowa has a chance, but he'll be a tough get.

Thanks Jumper. Thought that was the kid with isu ties but wasn't sure
