thank you rob one my favorite hawkeye. saw him and greg play aau at jowa city. sound like a stand up guy. I hope he will be coaching at iowa soon.

Great stuff.
Thanks for not bleeping out the F-bomb
My F-bombs definitely didn't get bleeped out when Jermaine Wallace hit the miracle shot over Haluska in the NCAA'S. I was just pulling into the parking lot of our local YMCA after getting off work to swim some laps. After my tirade of words that probably hadn't been invented yet, I just sat there in the parking lot in stunned disbelief and stared into space for at least fifteen minutes while Dolph and Bobby gingerly conducted their postgame show. I knew then how LSU fans felt when Tate connected with Holloway on the final play the Capitol One bowl.

My daughter and I watched both those games

And were overjoyed by one and sitting in stunned silence by the other

Eric Hansen, the leading shot blocker in the BIgTen was not in the game for that last play

That game cost Alford his dream job at Indiana

The state legend in high school and college was removed from the list Forever

I was quite blown away as well.

Two other major "Hawkeye Hurts" of mine.....watched in stunned disbelief as Iowa lost to UNLV in 87 (bye bye final 4), and, watched in stunned disbelief (in person) at Indy when Iowa couldn't get a stop vs MSU and lost a chance at the college playoffs.

Losing a bowl game isn't near as crushing as losing a tournament game because not being able to watch the next game is the worst part.

Just listened to the podcast doing some cleaning around my place and it confirmed some things that I already knew and surprised me on some others.

It pretty much confirmed that Brunner and Horner were grown ups(and had to be)the day they stepped on campus.

Surprised that he and Alford didn't always get along. Basketball related matters I always thought they were on the same page. Btw, he is 1000% correct on his perspective on Alford then and now.

Confirmed that Alford fucked up the Northwestern St. game.:)

Surprised Rob thinks Alford doesn't get enough credit for what he did at Iowa.

It was a good listen I enjoyed it.
