No offense to stormin and his 3 MVPs but the young redhead was absoulutely clutch!
IMO he is the Freshman of the year and 6th man of the year in the B1G so far..
 
Yeah I corrected him in his other thread because if you watched the game You would put White at the top. I would put them in this order with room for specualtion on the last three:
1.White
2.Cartwright
3.Marble
4.Gatens
5.Basabe
What do you think turkey?
 
This is only the second complete game i was able to watch so far this year. After watching the whole game i completely agree with you truehawk. Thats how my list looks aswell! So many players for the hawks contributing at such a high level!
 
You guys understand that the Freshman of the Year award has already been engraved with Zeller's name, no matter what Aaron does.
 
i like white coming off the bench with the energy he brings. some think he should be starting and i understand why. but some players lose what made them so solid off the bench when they start. my theory is dont fix what isnt broken. he probably wont get frosh of the yr but 6th man and all frosh team are probably still up for grabs.
 
I agree that he should be coming off the bench for may only for defensive purposes but he could handle a few more minutes a night so we can get a little more offense.
 
No way he gets FotY. Zeller has that, and even if he doesn't, Trey Burke is right behind him.

I also think we should keep White on the bench. You need guys like him and Cartwright who can come off the bench and give you a spark.

Actually I would give FOY to Burke so far, he has played well against every player he has matched up against so far this season. I think Burke has been the best freshman PG to date in the nation.

Keep White and Bryce both on the bench, let them see the game then come in and play. Minutes can still be distributed any way Fran wants them to be, each can still get 20+ minutes. It is nice to have guys like that coming off the bench.
 
Splitting hairs here because both were great but Cartwright was the MVP...he created baskets for himself and others all day long. Forgot how well he can play when he gets it going.

Sorry, but as good as Aaron White is and has been, for the Hawkeyes........Cody Zeller is the Freshman of the year in the BIG 10
 
I love the grin on his face they keep showing on tv during the highlights. I have to say.. the kid plays with a lot of heart and agree with my buddy that he reminds me a lot of Chris street.

Maybe I misunderstood you truehawk, but are you saying White should spell May for defensive purposes? He is averaging over 10 now playing less than 20 minutes a game. I think May is a great kid and a great athlete, but when it comes to BB he is a liability. I know, I know, he has really contributed in steals and some spectacular plays, but most of the time he hasn't a clue where he should be on the floor. White is just a natural player and has a giant BB IQ. I probably misread your post so sorry if I am wrong. You all have a Happy and Safe New Year!!!
 
White is really starting to gain confidence and look for his shots. His ability to score in bunches is uncanny and sorely needed on a team that is prone to scoring droughts. He is kind of a hybrid Bowen-Bartels type player.

1. The above quotes gave me an atomic wedgie.
2. Cartwright was my MVP. White was amazing and deserves his own love fest thread and recognition, but it was Brice that set the tempo for the game . Lots of recognition deserved.
3. Freshman of the year award that Jess Settles won had Rashard Griffin's name on it all year too. Aaron has a shot if he keeps up his play but there are some seriously talented youngsters in the league this year.
4. Numbering points in a post = very unsavory (awesome word) charactor.
