Came across a replay of this game; incredibly, after 600 some day of football without fans in attendance, it looked like there have been more than 4,000-5,000 fans there. The damn stadium looked empty!

It was empty. The only reason the Pac12 is safe as a conference is because they are geographically isolated.

We get it. You’re mad about ISU’s impending implosion. We’d be be mad too if it happened to the Hawks. But let’s not pretend that ISU has anywhere near the economic value of even a team like UCLA.

ISU has been a garbage program for 120 years with no other good sports to support it. A single (pretty) good season in 120 years isn’t enough to carry any clout. No one at all watches ISU’s games outside the state other than opposing fans.

You still fail to answer the question of what ISU brings to anyone’s table. It just flat out doesn’t. A 30,000 crowd UCLA game is still worth more in advertising and national viewer value to a conference game than a packed Jack Trice.
