Have you guys put the AZ loss away in the past yet?

At 1st it was really tough. I'm starting to get better but every time I see a preview on ESPN about the "Road to the National Championship" I get a little frustrated because I know the chances of Iowa getting there are pretty slim and the season is still very early. I'm just hoping for 'Bama to lose and we have the Buckeyes at Kinnick as the #1 team in the nation. Also since we were pretty much Boise's number 1 enemy to get the th NC I'm rooting for them cause I love a good underdog story and I hope they get rid of the BCS and develop a playoff system. I remember LSU a couple years back going 11-2 and getting to the NC so I have my fingers crossed.:p Go Hawks and lets get a good win tomorrow!

yep its done for me. The goal for me every year is to win the Big 10 and thats still for the taking. I'd trade a loss to Arizona for a win over tOSU any day and twice on Sunday so hopefully that game is for all the marbles. I dont think the Big 10 is as good as we all thought. Wisky looks good but beatable any time out, Penn State is down from the past two years. tOSU is the only team that matches the preseason hype at this time.

I mentally put the loss in the past, but the "kick to the junk" feeling has lasted all week, gradually getting better as the week has moved along...should be totally over it once the ball is kicked off tomorrow, if not during the pre-game show. Fortunately for us, the team gets to get over it MUCH faster, getting right back into game planning and figuring out how they're going to kick the ever lovin' crap out of One Testicle State tomorrow...where as we fans get to sit around and listen to Clone fans brag about their biggest win of the Rhoads era and wonder what went wrong, for 6 and a half days...it sucks!

Yes, I have "put the AZ loss away in the past."

Did it last night, after I got home from work.

Thank you.

Honestly I havnt thought much about it since sunday. I got over it by Monday and was ready for the next game.

This is kind of how I was. I still talked about it, but I wasn't down in the dumps about it. Just talked about things to improve for this week and such. But really, I was over it by around 4 a.m. Sunday morning.

Flushed it, gone, saianara. No use living in the past. Great things ahead. Sometimes an *** whuppin is required to take you where you need to go for the long run. Focus, the Hawks prolly have never been as focused on their practice and prep since preparations for last years bowl game as they have been since the desert debacle. Big Ten championship (ala 2004, looking familiar) and let the rest of chips fall where they may.

It was gone immediately. Felt we were all putting the cart in front of the horse anyway. Let Iowa end up first in the Big Ten pecking order before they start talking about NC. No co-champions without the automatic qualifier. Big Ten champs and the Rose Bowl. That needs to be the next hurdle. Then talk about the NC.

No. That loss exposed some weaknesses that we'll have to fix. Depth of at running back is a big question, and our O line got run over in the 4th quarter of that game.

I'll be bumbed out until we beat OSU.

It is gone. I thought about the fact that Iowa had all the intangibles against them in that game (weather, time, etc.) and they played about as bad as possible in the first half of that game. They still had a legit chance to win the game in the 4th even though it seemed they had no business being close. Time to move on and get to Bigten season.

I agree it exposed some weaknesses. I just wish those weaknesses had not cost us the game.

Got over it by Monday. Pre-season I had it down as a "L" but was hacked by the way the Hawks lost.
