They have a new staff and they've won 2 of their OOC games - which is rather novel for them. Based on what you saw, not what you though of their brand, do you think RU will turn out to be respectable this year?

They may have been able to squeak out 5 wins, but with their best player out now with what looked like a broken ankle, I don't think they'll win another game this year...

Washington smoked the Scarlet Nuts even worse than it looked and the Nuts had less than stellar halves against weak opponents in their two home wins.

I only see them winning 2 or 3 more games this year. Their cover guys handled our receivers, their passing game is very suspect, they have a decent running game, but they will suffer if Grant is out many games.

Washington is good (well, they seem to be good in weeks 1-4) but the other teams aren't. The 9 point win over NM isn't exactly awe inspiring. This is more of a realization that the 6 year cycle of Iowa football is real.

Having never seen them play I underestimated their defense. They are very sound in pass coverage. That said I appreciate the Iowa win even more having pulled out a critical big 10 road win.

If Ash is a good coach he can make Rutgers a very good team. There is a lot of talent in NJ and the region. Penn State no longer has a stranglehold on the talent in the region. Hard to compete in East BIG10, but could easily be 8-9 win team in a couple years.

That Rutgers team is brutal, my God anyone that thinks they are even a decent team needs to have their eyes checked/head examined. The biggest play of the game was when Grant got hurt, period. He plays, they win.

Wrong, Iowa held them to 0 points with him in there for most of the first half. There is no reason to believe they give up 14 or more in the second half even with him in there.
