Hate to do it.

First off I have to say I am disappointed in the crowd sat. I was not there, but by the looks on tv half the people were not making any noise.
Second and I hate to do this, I told you so. Awhile back I said if the Hawks met a good qb they would get shredded. I think Gamefilm has been to kind on them all year. He said and I agree that playing cb is a very hard job, but I took some notes. I am not saying these are 100% correct, but they are close and explain what happened Saturday.

1st down
1 yard pass, 8 after (holding Iowa)
4-5 yard pass, 6-7 after
7 yard pass
3 yard pass
4 yard pass
42 yard pass
4 yard pass

2nd down
40 yard pass
12 yard pass
4 yard pass, 8 after
5 yard pass, 5 after
3 yard pass
-1 yard pass, 8 after
6 yard pass, 4 after
6 yard pass
3 yard pass, 7 after

3rd down
7 yard pass
4 yard pass
8 yard td pass
11 yard pass
incomplete, due to a badly thrown ball
6 yard pass, nothing after as PSU fumbles but recovers
holding on Iowa
1 1/2 yard pass
another incomplete due to bad throw, would have been a td
2 yard pass, 17 after

4th down
10 yard pass, 25 after
incomplete, another poorly thrown ball

It would be hard to make a living pounding the rock against the hawks D, but they got shredded on the back side. PSU was 2nd in conf in passing and Iowa was 5th against the pass. You sure could not tell we were 5th on Saturday.

I would have to go back and look, but it seems to me early in the game when the camera went to the crowd, it looked like only half the people were making noise.

Yes....I'm guessing you would of cheered and gotten loud when your getting blown out and your team hadn't even sniffed goal line?

I dont know, like I said I was not there, but when I see an injured player and guys on the D calling for some cheering, I guess it goes without saying, they wanted some more support.

It was really loud...initially. The PSU beatdown started immediately, so it was tough to keep the energy going whilst the hawks were being shredded.

maybe you should have been there making some noise yourself instead of calling people out for that which you did not experience

Well you are old, so maybe you can't hear very well anymore? Just a thought.

Olddude. You continue to be clueless. It's actually impressive.

What ever. Like I said I saw what I did on TV. Half the people were just standing there, the D and an injured OL tried to get the crowd to make some noise. That is facts not clueless. I am not saying it was easy to get into it after the Hawks were down by 14, I am just saying what I saw on TV. I just checked and on PSU's first 3rd and 10 and the LB's were asking the crowd for more noise. Score 0 to 0 at that point and 3 min into the game. The crowd did get louder, but only after asked by the LB's
Or were talking about clueless on the play of the D?

go back to '10 and the wisconsin game. remember the drive with the fake punt? many here claim that to be the loudest kinnick has ever been. go watch it again. i bet you see players still trying to get the crowd louder.

again, maybe you should have been there making some noise yourself instead of calling us out for being too quiet for you

I understand that. I am sorry you all are taking it so hard. If they ask for more noise and get it, it was not as loud as it could of been, correct? 3 min into the game, 3rd n 10, the crowd should be at max noise level.
My main point to this thread was the play on the backside of the DL, but I see everyone would rather argue about how loud they were, so I am out, because as I said I WAS NOT THERE, even if I was, it is a stupid arguement, and I choose not to engage in it.

Olddude, early in the game is was very loud, with everyone standing. After the methodical beatdown started, it became progressively more quiet. Fans were actually trying to hang in there, but it was brutal.

SHUT UP! HE SAW WHAT HE SAW ON LE TEE-VEE!! YOU DON'T KNOW!!

The BTN must have placed mics outside the stadium because it did not sound electric or loud on TV at all.

Wait you are choosing not to participate in an argument you started? Does this honestly make sense to you?

Booing is universal, so I don't have a problem with it at all. It looks bad, but it is what it is. At least the message gets accross. This is not Drake vs. Grandview. When they decided to pay the coach 3.4 M a year and essentially start charging personal seat licenses, they opened themselves up to higher expectations. Safe to say, those were not met on Saturday night!
