I doubt it. How often does Barta field questions anyway? He speaks when Kirk lets him speak.

Barta and Kirk are in lock step to never give a direct answer to a question. I figure the reporters know this so they've given up the thought of even trying to ask tough questions.
I've always wondered why the press hasn't pressed Barta for at least one (1) press conference at seasons end of both Football and Basketball....GM's in pro sports do it all the time, but we are always left with unanswered questions to legitimate concerns about the future. Shame on the Iowa press...as usual...for not demanding time with him more often. Force his hand with a few negative articles, and he will come out of hiding...it's his job to. I am being totally honest when I say that I'm not sure I could pick Barta out of a lineup if forced to.

You are right. The GMs give a press conference at the end of the pro seasons. So do the head coaches. In college sports the head coach has both of those roles. The AD is the equivalent of the owner and the only owners that give press conferences are the really annoying ones, and rarely are they good owners. Usually they are like Daniel Snyder.
