Happy Thanksgiving

As the title says, happy Thanksgiving, fellas. It’s been a wild ride this year and everyone can use a little perspective today no matter where you sit on the fence. It’s my son’s birthday today as well so I think we’re gonna hit HyVee for breakfast (his favorite breakfast spot). He’s a little bummed since covid has pretty much killed all of his birthday party ideas with his buddies. He really wanted to go bowling and have pizza, but we’ll get to it at some point. He knows he’s not the only person getting birthday plans quashed right now and that there are people struggling with a lot worse.

Hope everyone out in HN land is tip top and have a great day doing whatever it is you’re doing.

You too Fry. Whacky year for sure. Are the Huskers National Champs again? Or yet? I guess they still think that, so add that with Covid, I guess.......plz be safe everyone....

We decided after weighing the pros and cons to host Thanksgiving as usual with all welcome and no hard feelings if anyone (understandably) declined.

Our normal pilgrim fest of 25-30 will be whittled down to about fourteen. My wife, myself and my only child still living at home all tested negative two weeks in a row.

I was at my brother in laws for a couple drinks last night (and it was only two; I was dog tired from working in the rain all day) and both his college age kids were lamenting not being able to go to the bars and hang out with their old high school friends. They will get through this quicker than they realize and it just might give them some perspective on things that they may not have otherwise received.

We will all get through this. And emerge as more grateful people for what we have. Happy Thanksgiving to all and your families.

Happy Thanksgiving to all you schlubs ;)

I'm thankful for much, but in the current surrounding... I'm grateful to be a Hawkeye. Those poor folks that grew up in Story county or had some kind of misguided, dark influence send them down an ugly path will never know such joy.

Go Hawks!
Enjoy the day, tomorrow is ass-kickin' time.

Happy Thanksgiving!

This year it is just myself, my wife and 2 daughters. We nixed any plans a couple weeks ago. But we will celebrate with a big dinner and enjoy each others company.

Tomorrow a double dose of Hawkeyes kicking ass will be the icing on the cake.

You too Fry! My daughter was at her mother's for Turkey day today, and the family Thanksgiving was canceled by Mom and my aunt on account of the fact that my mom is a hospital admin, my sis is a hospital nurse, my BIL has a congenital heart defect, my cousin has CF, and my Grandfather (still kicking around!) Is 89.

Got to see them all via zoom, so today was still a good day for me, despite it being without all the usual traditions and being all on my lonesome.

Happy Thanksgiving to all of you!
