GREG MABIN prepares for NFL

Do you have a list of who will be working out at the pro day?

I don't. There's a press conference afterwards. Media is not allowed into the workouts.

As far as I know, all of the seniors will be participating if healthy. Some of the guys that were at the senior bowl and combine may not take part in all of the tests. I think Desmond if running the 40. He did not at the combine.

Hope he makes it, but I also don't see it. I've always been curious to whether he was frequently targeted because of his skill set, or because the other side had King on it.

The last 4 or 5 games of the 2015 season Mabin was really good, in fact I thought he was playing his way into getting drafted. This year he was inconsistent before he got hurt I don't know now if he is a late round pick or FA. The size is there, he is good in run support, but turning around and locating the ball was spotty at best last year. A good 40 time might turn some heads, the league needs corners so we will see.

Isn't Mabin close to 6'2? When he gets healthy if he's fast/mobile enough I'd bet he'll get a camp invite somewhere. Teams always need bodies it seems like. All it takes is that right break...
I wonder if LeShun Daniels might turn some heads Monday. Physically he's as put together of a RB as you'll see. If he can run a 4.6ish or better I don't see why he wouldn't land on a team one way or the other too.

I predict LeShun will be low 4.5s.

Mabin is, I believe, 6'2" and around 210. Safety? Nickle back? 40 time would be important, of course, espec. at CB. Would love to see him get a shot.

Somebody will be smart enough to look at LeShun.

I predict LeShun will be low 4.5s.
That'd be really trucking for a RB like him. I don't think Derrick Henry ran that fast did he? Greene ran like a 4.6 something and that's about what you expect from a 220 plus lb back. If he hits anywhere under 4.6 teams would have too look long and hard at grabbing him in the late rounds.

I think he will be a testing beast. I believe he is on a lot of the Iowa testing leader-boards for RBs. His biggest knocks will be limited receiving and pass-protection ability, making him pretty one dimensional.

Greene went 4.59 and 4.63 I believe. And even THAT shocked some of the NFL Network folks.

True. He wasn't good at either of those things.. Albeit Fournette isn't either. He's basically a 2 down back as well. Now he'll be a damn good one I'm sure. Probably the closest thing to AP that there's been plus he's bigger. I would think Daniels brings enough to the table to get a shot. But like most everything when it comes to any job in the NFL. It's not just how good you are it's where you go, what system/style of play do the coaches run and the depth chart... Not to mention ones own health and how they take advantage of opportunity.

I predict LeShun will be low 4.5s.

In Rob's interview with LeShun following pro-day, LeShun said he hit 4.5 flat. Rob said most players did not know exactly how they did on the tests, so not sure where that number comes from, or if it is considered "official."

I don't see it but I'm all for people chasing their dreams. And, I've been wrong before.

Hey Rob i always thought even more than king he would be a good safety. Ball hawk, gets lost a little in man to man, but is physical and can tackle. Has a nice break on the ball. Your thoughts on him moving to safety or playing that zone coverage corner.
