Post 'em if you got 'em. This clip is from 1993 - the bittersweet victory over the Fab 5 at home, shortly after the death of Chris Street. Acie Earl, Wade Lookingbill, James Winters, Kevin Smith, Russ Millard, Val Barnes, Kenyon Murray, Bartles, Jasper -- play to a packed & emotionally charged house.

That's right, it was 53-45 at halftime! Fun game to watch.

I sent an email to a friend of mine at Iowa late last week, after seeing the intro to the Let's Be Mad Again site...saying they should roll out highlights of old Iowa games once a week all summer long to keep the program front of mind as possible...stuff like this never, ever gets old.

This was one of my all time fav games...wasn;t this the free throw shooter controversy at the end?

Ype--Marble took the free throws when Horton was clearly the one that got fouled. Horton was shooting around 25% from the line at the time, if I remember correctly.

Yes, towards the end of the clip you will see Marble going to the line and the North Carolina players pointing to another player not on screen.

Yeah it was supposed to be Easy Ed at the line. I thought it was brilliant how Marble identified that right away and stepped to the line and ignored all of the pointing and comotion.

Several other classics in my mind....

Don't remember the Year but length of the court pass to Stokes with 3 seconds left for the win.

Comeback from 22 down vs Illinois.

Recker's game winner in the B10 tourney.

The game where Andre Woolridge drove the ball the length of the court at CHA and hit the winning shot against MSU (I believe). I wish a youtube clip would be posted on that one.

The George Washington game comeback in the NCAA Tournament.

I remember Jarvis in the press conference saying "I hope they realize just how lucky they are"...sore loser. I believe he was interested in the Iowa job after Alford left...I was glad he didn't get it, although the last 3 years have been a heavy price to pay for my happiness...

Wasnt that the season ender at home against MSU?

I do recall his early years, there was a three game stretch where I believe he took every game winner and didn't fall..Iowa lost three straight games by one point...and I shattered two remotes against the wall. I think that was in 1994.

That shot still gives me goosebumps.

I still say the only coaching mistake TD made that season was slowing the tempo down in the 2nd half against UNLV. That just wasn't the Hawks style of play and it allowed the Runnin' Rebels back in. We outran the hell out of them in the 1st half and we shouldn't have taken our hands off of their throat. IMHO that was the most talented Hawkeye basketball team ever and they definitely had more than what it takes to win it all.

What year was the Georgetown win with the Twin Towers(Special K and Waite)? I was a runt but those are my first complete memories or Hawkeye basketball.
