Great DMR Story on Hellcat! (Hellickson)

The DMR ran a great story on Des Moines native Jeremy Hellickson. Hellcat, as my friends and I have affectionately called him since he was an 8th grader, was left off the Tampa Bay ALDS roster this morning. Not cool. But this story is cool.

Hellcat was a better nickname than hellboy. Too bad to hear he's not on the roster. Hopefully they can get him a world series ring anyway.

As long as they are not playing my Braves (which would be a miracle), I am on board. I want Bobby Cox to get another ring. If he can't do it, that would be awesome if Hellcat could! Go Braves! Go Rays! Go Reds! Go Twins!

So why is Shields starting game 2 and even on the roster? He sucks balls. He has a losing record and an ERA over 5. Think they would have been better off with Hellcat on their roster.

I could not agree more. Jeremy is a better option than Shields, and Davis. I get Garza and Price. Price, although he got knocked around today, has been their best pitcher all year. Garza has been there before. But depending on Shields to get a must-win for them tomorrow is a mistake. And Davis is slated for Game 4. Another mistake. Jeremy will get his time though. Someday.
