Never knew the crazy illegal kick rule had a lose of down at the spot, wtf, cant blame him for being an Aussie. But the the defense came up huge.

And Charlie Jones needs to just know the situation.

The miscues didnt let wisky beat us.. It is amazing the crazy special teams shit that happens against these ugly stripe headed beasts.

If Campbell doesn't pick that pass we start at the 2 yard line and game not over yet.

But boom the offensive line and other blockers opened a small crease for Goodson and he kept his balance to go the 80 yards for the dagger.
 
All the mistakes on both sides, normally sure-handed Charlie Jones muffing a punt return that led to what turned out to be Wisky’s only score, then a couple huge plays, including Goodson’s 80-yard TD. What an effing weird game.

Perfect for 2020 I reckon.
 
My thought when Jones fumbled that punt was here Iowa goes again giving the game away to Wisconsin. I don't know what it is when Wisconsin punts Iowa has to have some weird event. I always remember the play when Beyer stepped on the ball which gave the Badgers field position to score easily.

If that wasn't enough the Iowa punter doesn't handle the hike and Wisconsin gets the ball inside the 10 yard line. Fortunately the defense did enough to get the ball back on an interception. Iowa was fortunate to overcome adversity it created for itself.

I think we were all thinking this, and then again on the fumbled punt snap. Something about the Wisconsin game brings out the worst in our special teams and the special teams has been outstanding this season.

It's not just the two yesterday and the Beyer one two years ago...go back to 2009 and the fake punt that got them back in it...we need to just not put someone back there...and have no one around the ball...and just make sure they can't fake it. I'm telling you...after Jones's miscue, then Tory's soccer ball...I thought we were doomed to repeat history.
