First the ladies defeated the top seeded and number 6 nationally ranked penn st in dramatic come from behind fashion in ot 4-3 in field hockey. The win propels Iowa into the finals of the big 10 tourney. They sent the match into ot on the very last play of the game as time had expired.

Now the women's soccer team a day after knocking off the number 2 seeded wolverines, gaining their first ever post season victory, has just defeated the 3 seed nittany lions 1-0 to advance to the finals. Both were shown on the big 10 network.

Nice start to the weekend for iowa sports.
