Under the heading of "I did not know that"... the trophy was introduced in 1993 as a welcome into the Big Ten for Penn State. It was their first Big Ten conference game.

It was funny watching the one football player attempt to fix it.

What a fragile piece of crap being used as a trophy, someone did not plan that one to well. You got 50-60 football players rushing to grab a football trophy and they could not come up with some thing a little more solid?

Floyd looks pretty solid, it would be tough for that to fall apart.

Let's be real. Are we seriously not considering the possibility that the designers thought there would never be a trophy rush? I mean, put yourself in 1993. It's PSU vs. Minnesota.
