I had a good week of practice this week. I haven't really performed well for the company over the last 4 years. Oh, I have had some success here and there, but nothing consistently solid. Well, this guy that has been working ahead of me has the best numbers the company has ever had. Record breaking.
Yet my boss has decided there is something in me that is going to really shine today, really going to make a difference. So my record breaking colleague gets to sit by and watch me go into the board meeting to lead the troops into battle. I can't possibly see anything bad happen in this situation. Surely everyone has my back?
