Good piece on ESPN.com

Okay so now that I've had time to analyze this quote by Ferentz, "Realistically, I still have a hard time picturing us in the top 10," head coach Kirk Ferentz said Tuesday.

Is this the right approach? Shouldn't he be out there banging the drum to influence the poll voters? He doesn't have to say that, he could just say, "a win is a win"...I personally would like to hear him say, "we played hard, the other team played hard, the other team was good, but we were better."

Wow, some people are really obsessing over this quote from KF.

"we played hard, the other team played hard, the other team was good, but we were better."

If you listened to the on-field interview at the end of the MSU game he said exactly that. He is keeping his team focused on the task ahead and seems to know what he's doing.
