Congrats to him!

Two OL to the draft, one OL named Freshman AA, and we can't muster up a rushing attack better than 96th in the country (11th in the BIG)?

If we're being honest, one of those 5 spots really wasn't that great this year either. LG was definitely the weak link, and the constant reshuffling didn't help either.

Agreed. I thought the Paulsen kid got abused in the Pinstripe Bowl, but he was fresh meat for the grinder so I didn't really expect much.

I think you nailed it. What about his brother? Is he ever going to see the field?
I couldn't tell you. The closest to inside info I have on the Paulsens comes from a guy I know who lined up against them in HS, and said they were big but soft. Maybe that could be the reason they aren't breaking through, but that's also a few years ago, and more word of mouth than anything concrete.

Patience. Our OC is in a 3-year prep school program. He already has the fine cigars, *$100 haircuts and Italian loafers down.

And you wait. He will also be able to see the entire field and think on the fly. He has the best mentors.

The cigars are fact. Who knows about the other two. Just a joke. Maybe.

Its not easy for 5 guys to block 9 guys.

This is the key factor. Got to figure out a higher efficiency passing attack that backs linebackers and safeties away for LOS. Totally need the quick slants, routes in open areas of zones, high percentage outs, and quick swings to backs out of backfield beating coverage to back off the defense. When they are confident in passing then do it on any down any time to go against status quo in play calling.

It worked great against OSU because we caught every pass. The OSU game was a predictor of what can happen when the defense isnt 8-9 in the box.
